Whatever dies in the
wild is not actually dead. It is used as a fuel that gives birth to another
life. Yesterday in my garden I couldn’t help noticing that my recently grown red mini radish is almost ready for
harvest. By the way, this early, crispy, juicy type of radish needs about 28
days to mature. Time goes by faster sometimes. This made me think about how
gardening is extremely suitable for understanding the cycle of nature.
Nature Runs like a Swiss Watch
Have you noticed
that nature runs like a Swiss clock that needs no winding? Nature events seem
to follow an invisible, primordial scheme. Everything is familiar. No
explanations are necessary. Nature is a living organism where nothing goes to
waste. Plants and animals, the entire flora and fauna on Earth live in
astonishing harmony. It’s the harmony of circles.
Advantages of the Moon Cycle Gardening
Speaking of nature cycles, I have
something really exciting to share with you – it’s called gardening by the moon. Yes, your eyesight is ok, I really wrote
that. Moon cycle gardening means that what goes on in your garden is very much
influenced by the moon activities.
Don’t worry, this doesn’t mean that
you should sneak out to your garden in the middle of the night carrying your
shovel like some crazy lunatic and start planting. It means that the moon has
four quarters. Each moon quarter lasts for 7 days. And the best part is - the
moon’s gravity influences on the moisture in plants and soil. How about that!
It means that lunar gravity pulls
water up hence encouraging seeds to sprout and grow faster. What comes next is
that your seeds germinate sooner; plants produce higher yields, and have fewer
pests. Eventually, you save your time & money.
Stay tuned on my blog and expect
some more fantastic information on moon gardening.
