Growing Micro Greens: Improve Your Family's Health

Doing pushups, squats and stretching exercises can improve the health status of all of your family members. Yes, I know you knew that. But did you know that home or gym workouts are not the only option you have? A study conducted in Britain in 2013 showed that a six-month gardening season can help you burn up to 19,000 calories per year, which is equivalent to running seven marathons. It means that your own and your family’s health might reach a very high level simply by growing some tasty, tiny micro greens.

Based on my own experience, I can concur that gardening activities such as planting baby zucchini, pruning baby sorrel and harvesting baby pumpkins has helped me and my family members preserve thin figures.

Gardening Will Make You Feel Younger

In case you’ve been only partially interested in the topic before this subheading, I bet your eyes have doubled their size now.

For gardening to provide a beneficial workout and make you feel younger, you need to garden at least 30 minutes per day. Depending on your will, efforts and physical condition, you might significantly improve your strength, endurance and flexibility. I know I did.
