A Word about Hydroponics

Hydroponics is a special type of gardening that involves growing plants in soilless nutrient solutions. The best thing about hydroponics is that anyone can start his own little hydroponic garden at no time. All you need is a controlled environment and just a little bit of space. You wonder how little?

Can I Grow Plants Hydroponically in a Matchbox?

No, you can’t. But you can do it in your kitchen, on a terrace, or even a window. One of the main advantages of hydroponic gardening is that it doesn’t require much space. To tell you the truth I have a couple of windowsills and they are doing just fine for me.

How Do I Start?

It’s easy. All you need is a hydroponic system, growing medium, hydroponic nutrient solution, plants, source of light, and your positive energy. I bet your next question is what is a hydroponic system? Here’s the answer - also known as a hydroponic kit, a hydroponic system is a structure that holds water or other appropriate media from where the plants grow. There are two kinds of hydroponic systems. One has only a solution and the other one has a growing medium.

Organic or biological farming is a huge chance for human kind to improve its agricultural potential by moving away from the harmful chemical agriculture and its fatal effects.
Therefore, farmers and scientists have joined forces in order to understand natural processes of food production.

Chemicals? Thanks, but No Thanks!

If the product you have purchased has a label saying it is a product from an organic farm, it means that during the process of growing no chemicals such as pesticides, fertilizers, ionizing radiation, additives, antibiotics, growth hormones, and genetically modified organisms, have been used.

Tastier and Healthier Food for a Better and Longer Life
