A fellow gardener just
recently told me one version of story about how forget-me-not flower got its
name. He said that according to a Greek legend, God was giving names to plants
when a tiny, inconsiderable unnamed one cried out ‘Forget-me-not, O Lord!’, at
which point God said ‘That shall be your name’. Growing flowers such as daisy, busy Lizzie and sunflower also has a background
story, however only few flowers can evoke tender memories like forget-me-not
flower.

Why to Grow Forget-Me-Not Flowers
A birth month flower
list I managed to found says that forget-me-not flower is the flower of
September. Well, it’s also mentioned that aster could optionally jump instead but
let’s stick to our memory keeper for now.
Forget-me-not flower reminds me of those
lovely flower bouquets that princesses pick in fairy tales and Disney movies.
In the real world forget-me-not creates a magical blue sea of flowers, but only
if you grow it in fertile soil, warm and bright location that is protected from
the wind.
I found out that most people don’t
consider flower meanings before gifting flowers. And the ones who receive
flowers as gifts do pretty much the same.
But this won’t happen to you because
if you ever receive or gift a forget-me-not flower, you’ll know that this
darling flower is a symbol of fidelity and loyalty in a relationship, despite
separation or other challenges.
There you go. In case you know some
other facts about the forget-me-not flower, don’t hesitate to leave your
